Fitness at a Glance
The YMCA strives to provide safe and comprehensive fitness, wellness and recreation programs. Anyone under a physician’s care should advise their instructor of their specific circumstance and get their physician’s written approval to participate in “Y” programs. Fitness classes are open to all members 14 years and older.
PERSONAL TRAINING
You want to exercise, lose weight, build muscle and improve your health, but you need support, motivation and encouragement to fit exercise into your weekly routine. Our certified Personal Trainers will design an exercise program to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. Contact the Fitness Center Staff to make your appointment today!

FITNESS CENTER WELCOME - (member benefit, required for all new members)
The purpose of the Fitness Center Welcome is to help you become more comfortable with the fitness center equipment while familiarizing you with our group exercise classes and other wellness programs. Our staff is here to assist you with your personal fitness goals. The program is designed to give you 3-4 separate hour long sessions with our fitness staff. Upon completion of the Fitness Center Welcome you will be ready to continue on your wellness quest.
ABS EXPRESS
Take a break from work and workout your core.
BATH, NEW YORK - CARDIO KICKBOXING CLASS
Location: Steuben Bowl Tues/Thursday nights 5:30-6:30 Sat. mornings 8:30-9:30. Punch and Kick your daily stress away and feel energized, then cool down with a steely ab workout and flexibility stretching.
BODY FUSION
High intensity/low impact workout. This is not just a STEP class, by incorporating the use of body bars, medicine balls, resist-a-balls, STEPS and more.
COMBO CARDIO
The class combines cardio and strength for an easy-to-follow workout. Adults, teens and tweens catch the fitness bug using a step, resistance balls, medicine balls, resistance tubing, and more. WE WILL RESUME THIS CLASS IN FALL 2010.
CYCLE AND STRENGTH
An early morning workout combining cardio and resistance training.
FAMILY RHYTHYM
A group exercise class designed for children age 3 and up with their parents! Join us for some fun as we skip, hop, and dance for fitness fun.
FIT 4 LIFE
A circuit training class with the YMCA certified Strength & Conditioning instructor using our CYBEX equipment. You will learn to maximize your workout learning proper form and technique.
INSTRUCTOR'S CHOICE WITH JILL
Members will be treated to a variety of classes.
KBX
Add this class to your training/fitness regimen and you’ll get hooked on the results! This class is like no other.
NOON EXPRESS
Take a break from work and workout.
PILATES
You asked for it - it's BACK! Come strengthen your core and work on your flexibility.
RESISTANCE
Plain and simple! This class will improve your muscle strength, endurance, bone density and increase metabolism, while sculpting your body.
STEP AND TONE
Join us for a moderate step workout including light resistance training.
STRETCH and YOGA
Need to relax– try unwinding with stretching and breathing exercises to improve general health and reduce stress.
STUDIO CYCLING
An indoor group cycling class which is as challenging as you make it. By adjusting the tension level on the bikes, you will be able to experience a workout similar to outdoor cycling.
TWEEN FIT
This is a program designed for youth ages 8-13. Tweens learn basic exercise principles as well as how to record exercises on a workout card and how to properly use the track area and certain fitness center equipment.
TWEEN TIME
Looking for something to do? Come hang out at Tween Time. All tween age members and guests (ages 8-13) are welcome to come hang out, play and workout.
YOGA
Yoga, the most recommended class by area physicians to help lower your blood pressure and establish well-being. Promoting overall flexibility, strength. and connecting physically and mentally. Become centered.
YOGA for TWEENS: GRADES 6-8
Learn new poses and techniques to help with life’s little bumps.
ZUMBA
Cardio and strength together in one class. Get in touch with your WILD SIDE!
