Why join the YMCA?

We know when it comes to fitness, you have many choices. The YMCA isn’t ONLY about getting in good shape. It is a community resource organization, aimed at improving the spirit, mind and body of all who want to participate. You may be able to find a less expensive alternative to lift weights but we’re confident you will not find another place in the Corning-Painted Post area that will feed you — spirit, mind and body – like the YMCA can. We are committed to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

Membership

Our current membership rates are available at the front desk, page three of this brochure, or online at www.corningymca.org. New member rates include a Joiner's Fee which you will not have to pay again as long as your membership is not terminated. New member fees apply to all first time memberships and to memberships that have expired by no more than 30 days. All memberships are sold on a variety of basis with the majority being via monthly bank draft. Membership fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable to another person or another YMCA.

All members are subject to the general rules and regulations established by the Member Service Committee. These rules and policies are subject to change at the discretion of the committee

Membership Changes/Terminations:

In the event payment is not received by the renewal date, the membership will be terminated. Renewing after 30 days from the termination date requires payment of the Joiner's Fee in addition to the membership cost. Bank draft membership payments will continue in effect until the member notifies the YMCA IN WRITING. Written notices must be received by the YMCA no later than 30 days prior to the requested date of cancellation. Refunds on fully paid yearly memberships are given for medical reasons only. Memberships are not transferable to another person or to another YMCA.

Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)

If your check or automatic draft is returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF), it may be re-presented electronically and you will be assessed a processing fee of $20

Involuntary Termination: Any member may be terminated for non-payment of dues or for violation of YMCA rules and regulations.
