Swimming Instructors:
The Corning Family YMCA Aquatic Center is currently looking for Swimming Instructors. Hours vary and include but are not limited to afternoons and weekends. Lifeguards:
The Corning Family YMCA Aquatic Center is currently looking for Lifeguards. Hours vary and include but are not limited to afternoons, nights and weekends. School Age Child Care Staff:
The Corning Family YMCA is currently looking for School Age Child Care staff. The YMCA SACC program serves children in grades K-5. The program follows the Corning-Painted Post school district calendar and operates on select days when school is not in session, including winter break, spring break, select holidays, and school conference days. SACC Staff are responsible for planning, leading, and supervising activities including gym games, arts & crafts, swimming, outings, and group games. Summer Day Camp Counselors:
The Corning Family YMCA is currently looking for Summer Day Camp Counselors. Day Camp Counselors are responsible for the daily safety and well being of campers in their care both on site and while at our off-site outdoor location and for the planning, leading, and supervising of daily activities including but not limited to; sports, nature activities, arts & crafts, special programs, field trips, and groups games. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, willing to complete fingerprinting and background check, and must be available to work 8-4:30 Monday – Friday beginning Wed. June 23rd and ending Fri. August 27 (exceptions will be made for students returning to college). All staff will receive training in CPR and First Aid. No Phone Calls. Night Cleaner/Custodian:

Effective immediately there is an opening for a Night Cleaner/Custodian. This position is responsible for scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, waxing, dusting, etc. of the Corning Community YMCA facilities. This includes lavatories, furniture, commodes, fitness equipment, urinals, ceilings, drinking fountains, walls, shower area, woodwork, floor mats and various surfaces. This position reports to the Senior Night Cleaner and Facilities Director. The hours of this position are 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday. This is an hourly position with benefits.
